WACC Youth Programs
The Western Avenue Community Center hosts several programs aimed at helping youth learn and grow as individuals. We encourage participation in our programs and welcome youth that are interested.
To volunteer with the programs at WACC, please complete the following paperwork:
- PETALS - The Central Illinois chapter of Providing Education & Training to Achieve Lasting Success has a club in Bloomington in partnership with The Links, Incorporated. Girls in 9th to 12th grades are invited to explore their uniqueness and positive qualities in an open and creative curriculum from 6:30 - 8:30 PM every second and fourth Thursday during the school year at Western Avenue Community Center. Questions? Contact the front desk at (309) 829-4807.
- Martial Arts Club - This program develops strong, positive young men & women physically, mentally, and spiritually through an in-depth study of martial arts on Thursdays from 4:50 - 5:50 PM. New youth are welcome to try it out. Please call Jeremy Butler at (309) 829-4807 for questions.
- McLean County City Life - Mondays - 6:30 - 8:30 PM. Details to be posted soon.
