Western Avenue Community Center
5:00pm - 10:00pm

Epiphany, or Dia de los Reyes Magos (the three wisemen), was festively celebrated by about 70 people at the center on Friday, January 6, 2017. The evening include a performance by Ballet Folklorico de Central Illinois, the inspiring life story as told by our state's Lt. Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti, who is the daughter of a Cuban refugee and a father from Ecuador and, of course, it was all topped off with treats handed out to children by the three kings.

The Latino Women’s Support group at WACC has traditionally celebrated los Reyes Magos with a small celebration but this year with a notable Latina speaker in attendance, the center expanded its observance of the holiday.

The children received treats from the Three Kings.

Everyone was entertained by the Ballet Folklorico de Central Illinois!

Lt. Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti and Socorro Alvarez.

Everyone enjoyed the program!
